2. Make them answer the following questions.
3. Feel free to go ahead and add some questions yourself!!
4. Tag if you feel like it!
So. . . who's doing the quiz?
Lady Seaheart: A Legend who is the help of Sea Dogs, fisherfolk, and faithful lovers. In life she was called Bryanna McKenna. Arcana: Hotheaded
Rosita Zita Cortez: Courtesan turned pirate turned Knight of the Rose and Cross. Arcana: Indecisive
Diarmuid MacNikolaus OLynch: Son of Bryanna McKenna and Eric Inied. Raised a Sea Dog, drafted into the Brotherhood of the Coast, is presently the King of Avalon. Arcana: Stubborn
Saoirse NiBéibhinn: Inish blacksmith and scryer in Sophias Daughters. Arcana: Trusting
And why the hell not. Birchbane: A Sidhe. Arcana: Oh, you silly humans
1. What's your favorite food?
Lady Seaheart: Glamour is my bread, my water, and my breath. When I do eat food, though, I eat and drink those foods that fit my story. Foods like apples and cherries that represent love and fertility, bread that has been broken and shared as a sign of friendship, and wine or whiskey, both of which I will drink to life, health, and unending friendships.
Rosita: Strawberries.
Diarmuid: I cannot resist fresh meat. When I was a child and my parents were alive, fresh meat meant Da was home and safe and hunting for us. After they died, I was raised at sea. And well you know how rare fresh meat is at sea. Fruit, too. And cheese. Actually, anything that isnt hardtack or obscenely salted.
Saoirse: Honey.
Birchbane: Food can be tasty and good for you, or it can be repulsive and make you ill. But sometimes, the food that offends the tongue gives strength to the body, but the food savored by the tongue causes illness later. And sometimes, the best of foods still contain poisons. Oh, fickle morsels! Every meal is a roll of the Death Crones dice, but to refrain is to invite her in with open arms! What a thrill hunger must be!
2. Are you a virgin?
Lady Seaheart: Clearly not, as I have a husband and two children.
Rosita: Um no.
Diarmuid: No.
Saoirse: *snorts*
Birchbane: A lady is modest. A lady hides her face. A female is but the possession of her male. For as every right-thinking creature knows, the females nature is weak, and the males is strong. The males is made for action and accomplishment, the female is made for servitude. Why, how foolish must her Majesty the Queen of the Sky be, to have put her female Champion as a maiden upon the throne at Glenayre. What power could a virgin queen hold over so many people? And why does she turn a blind eye as her knew Champion, the King, makes ready to share his power with a beautiful Queen? Surely a virgin King would make the best of Kings, with no touch of a lovely woman to draw his attentions, and no line of strapping sons to carry on their fathers name. Surely a man on his own would have been stronger, and his Maiden predecessor wiser with a man to guide her? Such a fool must my Lady be! To think that a Maiden queens story would be stronger than one with a King at her side, or to think that a King cannot be strong without a Queen to give him children. Such a fool
3. What kind of stories are your favorites?
Lady Seaheart: The ones that strengthen me and my people. Every Legend of Avalon is sacred to me, and the stories of lovers all over the world nourish me.
Rosita: Ones with happy endings.
Diarmuid: The bardic tales I grew up on. And stories about my parents when they were alive.
Saoirse: All kinds of stories.
Birchbane: Every story is good until it becomes undone.
4. Are you married?
Lady Seaheart: I am. Of course, the ballads are always strangely ambiguous about it. I suppose that is because lover is more definitive than husband
Rosita: No. There is only one person I would ever want to marry, and his mission depends on him having a fate witch for a wife. Besides, if I married, I would have to retire.
Diarmuid: I am betrothed and I will be married if I ever manage to rescue her
Saoirse: Legions balls, no! Ive got all the love I can handle in my cousin. Though an eight year old boy recently proposed
Birchbane: It is always best to marry someone you hate. When love fades with time, it leaves you cold. When hate fades, you are left warm.
5. Have you ever gotten drunk before?
Lady Seaheart: In life, yes. I dont think I could get drunk now.
Rosita: Once. *winces*
Diarmuid: Once or twice.
Saoirse: Generally not, but its happened.
Birchbane: Be careful with drink. It tells lies to force your tongue to speak truths and makes angels of your demons.
6. Do you have a celebrity crush?
Lady Seaheart: Such feelings are reserved for my Knight of the Shadows, and he alone.
Rosita: El Vago, of course. And *blushes* I used to think Giovanni Villanova was handsome.
Diarmuid: When youre raised by celebrities, its a bit hard to get excited about them. But, I must admit that as a boy, I thought it would be so exciting to meet Bloody Bonnie.
Saoirse: Does Angel count?
Birchbane: I am far too lowly for such thoughts.
7. Your embarrassing moment?
Lady Seaheart: It is underwhelming to call it embarrassment. What I did in Montaigne will forever be my disgrace.
Rosita: Having to beg Celestina for help and having her refuse.
Diarmuid: When I failed to rescue Ingrid from Swordeater the first time.
Saoirse: When Ash turned out to be right about that handsome stranger. I felt like an idiot.
Birchbane: Embarrassment breeds discontent. Only the fool is never embarrassed, because only the fool is content with her place.
8. Your best friends?
Lady Seaheart: As ever before, my faithful Knight of the Shadows. And of course, Remidos, Anna, and Eamon.
Rosita: Nori, Susanna, Atropos, Sergio, Banquo, and Delia.
Diarmuid: Finn, Ingrid, and Heinrich. Bry and Lorelei are great, too.
Saoirse: My cousin, Ash. Hes the only family Ive got.
Birchbane: Oh, there are so many, its hard to decide
9. Words of Wisdom?
Lady Seaheart: Be wary of the love of poets. Love is not for those who crave freedom, or who wish to be safe. You cannot be free if you are safe, and you are neither safe nor free when you love. Love makes you beholden to someone other than yourself, and it means you may have your heart broken. Love does not guarantee happiness. But it does guarantee that your pain will never be borne alone.
Rosita: To make any journey worth the taking, you must accept the possibility that youll never reach your destination.
Diarmuid: No matter how hard you try, there will always be people who dont see you for who you truly are. Dont waste your energy trying to change their minds. Just do the best you can for them.
Saoirse: Never trust a rose given in the wrong season.
Birchbane: Every word is good that is used well.
10. If you saw a shooting star right now, what would you wish for?
Lady Seaheart: Just rewards for all.
Rosita: My own happy ending.
Diarmuid: The safe release of Ingrid and my brother.
Saoirse: Ashs happiness.
Birchbane: A wish you tell wont come true. *grins*
11. What is your favorite word?
Lady Seaheart: Love.
Rosita: Veritas.
Diarmuid: Home.
Saoirse: Spark.
Birchbane: *smiles* Thats a secret.
12. What song was sung to you when you were a child as you went to sleep?
Lady Seaheart: Ancient Inish lullabies.
Rosita: Castillian hymns
Diarmuid: All sorts of things. Folksongs from Inismore, Eisen, Castille, and Vodacce and of course, sea shanties.
Saoirse: Tavern songs, usually.
Birchbane: Every song.
13. What was the best day or moment of your life?
Lady Seaheart: To first be reunited with my love, and then to reconcile with my friend. Those moments go together in my heart.
Rosita: The day I got my sister back.
Diarmuid: The day Ingrid said she would be my queen.
Saoirse: The day I got a blacksmithing lesson from Mistress Sela Cole.
Birchbane: Any moment is good that is used well.
14. How would you describe your voice?
Lady Seaheart: A Legends voice is how she needs it to be. It is deep and gentle to those whom I help. It is dark and commanding, or the frightening hiss of a snake to those to whom I mean harm.
Rosita: Silver.
Diarmuid: I have never thought about my voice.
Saoirse: Probably rough.
Birchbane: You tell me. *smiles*
15. Who is your favorite boyfriend/girlfriend?
Lady Seaheart: My one and only, my twin soul, my Knight of the Shadows.
Rosita: Sergio, even though Ill never have him.
Diarmuid: Ingrid, the one who smacks me when I start brooding too much.
Saoirse: Ehh I hope Angel doesnt get tired of me too quick. He gives as good as he gets. Its fun.
Birchbane: *giggles* Youre funny.
16. Who is your Ex-boyfriend/girlfriend?
Lady Seaheart: I have never loved another man as I have loved my Knight.
Rosita: Basilio Villanova.
Diarmuid: I never really had a relationship with anyone except Ingrid. I did see the same jenny a few times in a Vendel port before that. She was sweet.
Saoirse: No one really noteworthy. A few flings here and there.
Birchbane: Oh, youre REALLY funny! I like you!
17. Do you have any gifts from your boyfriends/girlfriends from your first date? Who gave them to you and what are they?
Lady Seaheart: In life, I carried around a ruby given to me by my Eric to remind me of his love for me. Years later, I gave it back to him when he was distressed about leaving me in order to raise his spirits. It was in his pocket when he died, and buried with him.
Rosita: I sold everything Basilio gave me, but I have kept every token Sergio has given to me as long as it lasts. (Theyre often things such as gloves or fine perfumes)
Diarmuid: No not really.
Saoirse: Oh, Theus, no.
Birchbane: I am the oyster. My pearl has been taken. And I want it back.
18. What is your profession?
Lady Seaheart: I am called the Queen of Lovers.
Rosita: Ex-courtesan, ex-pirate, current Knight of the Rose and Cross.
Diarmuid: Former Sea Dog, current King of Avalon. (Technically, I am still a member of the Brotherhood of the Coast, just inactive. I have a piece of paper saying so.)
Saoirse: Blacksmith.
Birchbane: I am her High Majestys simple fool.
19. What do you spend a typical day doing?
Lady Seaheart: I go where I am needed.
Rosita: Depends on the present mission. Its never dull, thats for certain.
Diarmuid: Im still getting used to whats typical in the life of a King
Saoirse: No day of mine is ever typical.
Birchbane: Typical is a false word.
